Fashionably Late

Today, September 15th, 2009 you can find Honor Society's first album, Fashionably Late, on store shelfs. My last blog was about them and if you haven't checked them out yet then I strongly suggest that you do so.

They are going back on tour in just a couple weeks stopping all across the United States, if you can i recommend again that you should try to make it to a show. Most shows are General Admission and are only about $15, can't beat that. They continue to post new tour dates, keep checking www.honorsocietymusic.com for all tour dates and information. They actually just posted new dates this past weekend that hasnt even gone on sale to the public yet.

Head over to their myspace to hear their brand new album, I assure you won't be disappointed.

Honor Society

Honor Society is this great new band out there. They spent the summer touring with the Jonas Brothers, while doing their own tour as well called the Full Moon Crazy tour, doing shows before or after the JB concert.

Unfortunatly, i was unable to see them this summer while they were on tour with Jonas, but will hopefully be seeing them in Hershey on New Years Eve and still am holding out there will be some New England dates during their new tour that starts next month called Autumn Tour. Their first album,Fashionably Late, drops on September 15th, there is still time to pre-order the album. If any of you went and saw the movie Bandslam you will recognize HS's song "Where Are You Know" that played during the credits. You can head over their myspace to check out their first single "Over You" and dates for their upcoming tour.

I hope you all check out their music, it is really good and if you can get tickets to one of their shows. They are a bunch of down to earth guys that love their fans to death and enjoy hanging out with them before and after shows.

12 Year Anniversary

Today marks the 12 year anniversary of the untimely death of Princess Diana.

She's one of my heroes.
I admire all that she accomplished with the life that she was given.
She constantly was breaking Royal Protocal,
but it was her that brought the Family back to the people.
She supported many charities,
many that her two sons, Princes William and Harry,
both help with today.
She sparked controversy when she was photographed
shaking the hand of an AIDS patient while not where any gloves,
bringing the forefront that you can not contract HIV/AIDS
by simple touching those who have it.

12 years ago we lost a great humanitarian,
but more importantly two boys had to grow up without their mother.
They carry on her legacy day in and day out
and do everything they can to make her proud.

summer lovin'

Yes the summer of '09 still has few weeks left to it, but my eyes are set to that of Summer '10. The options for ways to fill my time seem to endless. My mind is one of endless imagination. some of the things i have thought have even surprised myself. but im going to use this space as a way to wrote out the realistic options and to write all about them to hopefully get some clarity on what it is i want to do.

Option 1:

coming back home to pennsylvania. this always me to save much of money while having little expenses to pay for. however, do i want to spend another summer living with my parents, while having hardly any social life once again?

Option 2:

getting a job as camp counselor at a summer camp for sick in connecticut. this is probably my most favorite option although it kind of conflicts with that of option three which will be discussed under that heading. with this job i'll be working from the beginning of june till nearly the end of august. i'd make roughly $3000 for the summer which is rather good since housing is covered, you are fed three meals a day, and you get to be a bright spot in these sick kids life. this is something i've always wanted to do and is something i want to do for the rest of my life, however, that is another whole story in itself. This option also poses some complications for option 3 which will be covered below.

Option 3:

Taking part of the study abroad program to South Africa through my school. The program is roughly three weeks long and i will be getting credit for three courses. However, I will need to buy my own plane ticket to and fromo SA along with most likely needing to get a loan to cover the tuition cost. But the credits is very tempting because i had to take two trimesters off last year due to some problems and this would help me with getting back on track for graduating May '11. The program also deals with working with some of the orphans there in South Africa, which i'm guessing will be in the town of Cape Town. Once there we spend two weeks working with the kids, taking over some sports equipment and teaching them some things about sports. I believe the third week is spent doing some site seeing around the country. I'm not exactly positive on the details of the trip, this summer ('09) was the first year the program has been run. I did have a friend that went on the trip & she said it was defiantly worth it. Also, the World Cup will be going on as we are there. Nothing like hot, international soccer guys walking around the city. Which also hightens the possiblity of a Prince Harry siting since he is such a big soccer fan, that is if he isnt bogged down with military obligations. This choice though conflicts with that of option 2. But there is some what of a solution to this problem. This camp also takes on volunteers for a session. Being a volunteer you dont make any money doing the job and you are required to work one session, each session is a week long. Sounds like the perfect solution. But how am i to make any money? What job in their right mind will hire a college student for the summer who will need to be taking essentially a month off? I'm not really sure, but if there is one out there shoot me there information. With getting a job that would allow this would make it possible to do the three things i want to do most in life to be done in one summer alone.

So there are the three options i have thought of & all three are ones that i despirately want to do, now it's just trying to figure out a way to do so.

I realize i dont have an area to post comments, i tried to fix this problem but nothing seemed to work and i really love this layout too much to get rid of it. I also tried to add a cbox to the side, this also seemed to not work very well. So if you really want to let me know something send me an at reply on twitter to @xstephanieee or send an email to aries321grl@gmail.com

love. hope. trust. believe.

Craziness, This Is So Me

Name: Stephanie
Date: 8/13/2009
Colorgenics Number: 16234507

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You don't need anxiety and problems. All you really seek is a conflict free environment which can offer peace and mental security. You don't like the idea of being alone and, whatever the reason, at this time of your life you feel as if you are being 'left out'. What you really need is perhaps some 'tender loving care'.

You are a leader and possibly at this tine in a position of authority, but you are experiencing problems. You are not quite sure how to handle the present situation.

You honestly believe that your hopes and ideas are realistic, but there seems to be no one around to give you the necessary reassurance and encouragement. You are egocentric. You believe that you are always 'right' - well maybe you are but you have a short fuse and are likely to take offence for the slightest reason.

You are being unduly influenced by the situation that is all around you. You do not like the feeling of loneliness and whatever it is that seems to separate you from others. You know that life can be wonderful and you are anxious to experience life in all its aspects, to live it to the full. You therefore resent any restriction or limitations that are being imposed on you and you insist on going it alone.

You wish to be left in peace... no more conflict and no more differences of opinion. In fact you just don't want to be involved in arguments of any shape or form. All you want is for 'them' to get on with it - and to leave you alone.

I basically just googled 'Colorgenics Number', clicked on the first link it gave me and this is what came up. And shockingly, it is basically me to a tee. Kind of freaky & scary & weird all in one. Ya'll should defiantly check it out.
