Yassou

Wow, i apologize for how long it's been since i've last updated. I have since completed my trimester of practicum. We did some really awesome community service that taught me so much about Rhode Island. And after that we took our FAM trip to GREECE!!!

It was such an amazing experience and i am a constant loss of words to describe the trip. Being in a place with so much history and just thinking about all the people that have walked the same paths you do while you are there just leave me speechless and almost feeling overwhelmed. It was four years now that i sat in a classroom learning about the Greek Gods and Goddess and here i am walking the very land of their existance. They was alot that happened and i almost feel like i did get everything out of it that i could. I let some situations cloud the experienc and bring me down a bit. But i still had a fantastic time and it defiantly something i will never forget.

And this brings me to the Air France flight that went down over the Atlantic Ocean early this week. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the victims families. The scary part is that my practicum group and I were just on that same type of airplane just two weeks ago. We were fortunate to have good weather during all of our flights.

I am back home now for the summer, not like it has been very fun so far. Unpacking is one of the things that i absolutely hate doing, but it must be done but i'm still in the process of doing so. My dad has been on my ass since i got back about getting a job. I've handed in 4 applications thus far, what more does he want me to do?

I'm actually really looking forward to going back to school in September. i miss Providence already but im more excited about where im living next year. The university ran out of housing for the 09-10 school year so they have leased these brand new apartments that are just getting finished now. They are really condos, luxury condos, so im really thankful to be living in them. Granted i am paying an arm and a leg to be staying there i dont care. i get my own room finally, growing up as an only child, sharing a room with someone the last two years has been hard on me. I also dont have to pay for laundry anymore, another perk of them being condos, each unit has its own washer & dryer. There are a total of three of us in the apartment, two girls in one bedroom and then me in the other. which also means i get my own bathroom since there are two in the unit. each bathroom has grantite counter tops, porcelin sinks, and large showers. the kitchen comes with stainless steel appliances and grantite countertops again; i also get a walk-in closet. i couldnt be more excited to be living on campus.

I hope you are all doing well and I will hopefully be updating this alittle bit more regularly.
